Digital Twin Environment
The Digital Twin Environment is a data-driven, virtual representation of the real-world traffic system and its environmental impact. It leverages individual traffic (IV) data to analyze traffic situations and their effects on energy consumption, CO₂ and pollutant emissions in near real time. Through integrated monitoring, simulations and AI-based evaluations, the solution enables well-founded assessment of traffic measures as well as the development and optimization of sustainable control strategies. Scenarios can be simulated realistically to compare the effects of different traffic compositions and make better decisions for environmentally friendly mobility.
Emission Mobility as a Service (EMaaS)
Emission Mobility as a Service (EMaaS) enables model-based capture and analysis of road traffic emissions through an integrated, cloud-based system. Our solution uses vehicle trajectories, vehicle classes and emission standards to precisely calculate and evaluate emissions such as CO₂, NOx and particulate matter. By combining vehicle simulation, real-time data and standardized emission models, emission values can be reliably determined for a wide range of traffic situations. Open APIs allow seamless integration into existing mobility platforms, smart city systems and environmental solutions. This way, mobility is not only digitally managed but also analyzed on a data-driven basis and specifically optimized to reduce emissions.
Device Management as a Service (DMaaS)
In the mobility domain, numerous connected devices such as sensors, edge systems and IoT components are deployed to continuously capture and transmit data. Device Management as a Service (DMaaS) enables centralized management, monitoring and control of these devices throughout their entire lifecycle. Our solution ensures that devices can be reliably configured, updated and maintained. Through remote access, automated updates and integrated security mechanisms, stable and secure operations are guaranteed. DMaaS thus forms the foundation for a scalable, efficient and secure digital mobility infrastructure.
Environmentally Sensitive Traffic Management (ESTM)
Traffic impacts the environment – in real time, route-specific and at high resolution. Our ESTM model combines Floating Car Data (FCD) and additional traffic data with environmental and emission data into a multi-layered, consistent data structure. Integrated into the digital twin, spatial and temporal correlations become precisely analyzable – enabling well-founded simulations, optimized traffic flows and measurable emission reduction.
Air Quality Dispersion Model (AQDM)
Air quality is a key indicator of the environmental compatibility of urban mobility. Our Air Quality Dispersion Model (AQDM) models the spatial dispersion of air pollutants based on emission data, meteorological parameters and terrain information, leveraging existing sensor infrastructure. Integrated into the digital twin, it enables comprehensive immission analyses and air quality maps at high spatial and temporal resolution. This creates the foundation for well-founded environmental assessments even in locations without sensors, supports compliance with regulatory limits and enables data-driven decisions for sustainable traffic and urban planning.
High Performance Computing
Modern mobility demands enormous computing capacity, particularly for simulation-based analyses, network-wide optimizations and AI-driven evaluations. Our cloud and High Performance Computing (HPC) environment provides scalable compute clusters that can be orchestrated on demand. Containerized workloads, parallel processing mechanisms and GPU-accelerated computation enable the processing of large, heterogeneous data spaces in minimal time.
