Privacy policy for the use of our website

The protection of your data is our highest priority at (aixzellent, Leonhardstraße 23–27, 52064 Aachen). We would therefore like to inform you in detail about the purpose, type and scope of the processing of personal data through the use of our website in accordance with the German Telemedia Act (TMG), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR).

You may exercise your right to access, rectification, deletion or restriction of processing of your data at any time, insofar as this is permitted under other existing legal obligations.

You also have the option of filing a complaint related to data processing with the data protection supervisory authority responsible for us.

When contacting us (e.g. by e-mail), the user's details are processed to handle the enquiry and, in the event of follow-up questions, in particular to carry out pre-contractual measures.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Data collection when using this website

In order to minimise the scope of collecting and processing personal data as much as possible, aixzellent largely refrains from capturing and storing personal data in accordance with the EU-GDPR, and completely abstains from using external analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. For operational reasons and for security analyses to prevent and evaluate potential system errors or so-called cyberattacks, so-called server logs are automatically stored for one week.

These contain the IP address as well as the date and time of access. In addition, browser type and version, referrer URL, names of requested web pages or files, and the amount of data sent are transmitted.

This information is used exclusively for security and operational purposes and is completely deleted after seven days.

Use of cookies (session cookies)

By using our website, you accept the use of cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses.

Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, and to enable certain functions such as search. The cookies we use are automatically deleted at the end of your visit (so-called session cookies).

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can individually decide which cookies to allow or disable. You can also enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser.

Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Anonymised analysis of visitor traffic

To analyse the behaviour of users on our website, we use the open-source web tracking tool Piwik/Matomo. With this alternative to Google Analytics, the collected data is processed exclusively internally by aixzellent.

This means that the data is not shared with or used by third parties, but is stored and analysed exclusively on our own server. In this way, we can ensure that all data is stored exclusively on systems in Germany.

For anonymisation purposes, the last digits of the IP address (the last byte of the IPv4 address) are obscured. This reliably prevents any personal reference to the data.

TLS encryption

This site uses TLS encryption (Transport Layer Security) for security reasons. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser begins with https:// and by the lock icon in the browser bar.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy. The current version of our privacy policy for the use of our website is available at any time directly on our homepage and at https://www.aixzellent.com/en/privacy.

Our customers will be informed in writing about fundamental changes.
