Originating from the engineering office Theis Consult, which has been operating successfully since 1991, we continue to evolve into a full service provider for our customers based on our success. With our team members from engineering, telecommunications and computer science, as well as a broad network of specialists across all relevant fields, we offer our customers all the competencies required today for efficient project delivery.
The Name Behind Our Services
is a combination of the German adjective exzellent (excellent) and the French name for Aachen "Aix-la-Chapelle" [ɛkslaʃapɛl].
According to the dictionary, "exzellent" is described with terms such as outstanding, superb, first-class and high-quality.
This name is our mission and our daily challenge.
Environmental Protection at aixzellent
Climate and environmental protection are among the most important and pressing challenges of our time and have long been an integral part of our corporate philosophy.
We are aware of our responsibility in this regard and rely on sustainable solutions, such as raising awareness among our employees. This way, savings potential for energy and resources in our company – whether in administration, business travel or commuting – is identified, realized and put into practice. Through video conferencing, switching to public transport or establishing company bicycles, we leverage significant potential for reducing our CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, we want to drive the energy-efficient use of the internet. By operating our servers exclusively in Germany with Hetzner, we ensure they are powered by 100% carbon-free and environmentally friendly hydropower. The power consumption of hardware and network components is also considered a key criterion in component selection for production. Whenever possible, we rely on reusing existing server hardware and avoid energy- and resource-wasting new productions. In addition, we source 100% of our office electricity from renewable generators (naturstrom.de).
